Informatics joins other IUPUI schools in Virtual Career Fair

October 12, 2007

IUPUI engineering, New Media, design and programming students looking to get a leg up on their job search have a new option on campus. The IU School of Informatics has joined with the schools of Engineering and Technology, Science, Business and Herron as hosts of the first annual IUPUI Computer Virtual Career Fair.

The fair is completely online and open to all IT, engineering, New Media, design, and programming students from these schools. The event runs from Monday, October 8 to Sunday, October 21.

"We are constantly looking for the best ways to introduce our very capable students to potential employers," explained Brian Benedict, Informatics career services specialist. "What’s great about this event is that it makes full use of the very technology our students are learning – computers and the web."

Information about the virtual career fair is available at www.iupuitalent.net. Students should use their complete IUPUI email address as their username and the word "computer" as their password.
