IUPUI Informatics professor's book boosts understanding of computational biology

February 6, 2008

Jake Y. Chen, assistant professor, IU School of Informatics, recently completed co-editing of a bioinformatics book entitled Biological Database Modeling. It’s the first book to introduce collectively the topic of large-scale biological knowledge representations to the bio-computing community, explained Chen. Joining Prof. Chen in this scholarly work was Amandeep S. Sidhu, Digital Ecosystems and Business Intelligence Institute, Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia.

“Students and professionals in the fields of computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, and systems biology will benefit from the collection of cutting-edge book chapters in this work,” said Chen. Details about the book are available here.
