February 29, 2008

Abstract

Advanced web strategies and ubiquitous broadband has created the most far-reaching and engaging communication environment the world’s ever seen. From how we elect, to how we conduct commerce, or train, recruit, or raise funds, their impact on our communication capabilities are the most revolutionary we’ve seen and continue to be redefined daily.

All economic revolutions transform environments and create opportunities. The questions then are, “How do we think entrepreneurially to harness the new media revolution to attract students and best prepare them? And how do we help stimulate economic opportunity within our communities?” First we’ll explore why entrepreneurs tend to be the most prepared to handle revolutions—in fact, often they start them! Entrepreneurial thinking can integrated into organizations of all sizes and at various stages. You will learn how to welcome revolutions and turn them to your advantage. Most importantly, you will learn how to apply this kind of thinking to the ever—emerging new media industry.
