Admissions
The M.S. in Health Informatics is a 36-credit-hour program that focuses on the meaningful use of patient data, electronic medical records and health information technology to improve healthcare and patient outcomes.
As a graduate, you’ll be well prepared for a career in healthcare or private industry, or for admission to the Ph.D. in Informatics program with a health informatics specialization.
The program may be completed in two years by a full-time student. Part-time study options are available for domestic students. However, international students and any students funded directly by the School of Informatics (in the form of an assistantship or fellowship) must complete the program in two years.
Successful applicants are expected to have an introductory background in both informatics (or computer science) and the health/life sciences.
