Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration

Program graduates serve as department directors, managers, consultants, data managers, data analysts, quality improvement professionals, governmental review agents and information privacy or security officers in the field of health information management. The program graduate is eligible to seek registration as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) by successfully passing a national qualifying examination offered by the American Health Information Management Association. RHIA registration is an important credential when seeking employment as a health information administrator.

Medical Coding Certificate

Students completing the Medical Coding Certificate are eligible to see the Certified Coding Associate (CCA) credential by passing a national qualifying examination offered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Typically, they will find employment in hospitals or physician offices.
