Learn how Amy King stepped out of her comfort zone to create a system to reduce road rage.

Want to learn how computing can let your imagination run wild?

Then the Media Arts and Science program is for you. Technology and digital media are changing how we express ourselves, learn and connect with the world – and employers have taken notice.

In the Media Arts and Science program, students study, practice and demonstrate the use of digital media to communicate, educate, engage, or entertain with a focus on the fundamentals of communication, digital storytelling, multimedia design, development and production. Many courses in the program are project-based, allowing students through the integration of creativity with contemporary career-building skills, to become fluent in the use of contemporary (current state-of-the-art) tools for producing Web applications, entertainment/serious and games and simulations, 3D motion graphics, and videos. Students also learn to develop software applications for the desktop, the Web, and mobile devices.

You’ll build the necessary foundation to take your place among the next generation of great digital media specialists.

The program is flexible, allowing students to choose the path that best matches their career goals.  Graduates from the program provide evidence of the skills and qualities prized by employers in the 21st century workplace – skills for communication, teamwork, and productivity.

Our hands-on, project-oriented curriculum allows you to build a valuable portfolio of work with the flexibility to specialize in the subject areas that interest you most. And our career counselors help guide you through internships, portfolio-building and industry networking to gain real-world experience.

It’s a new game out there. We’ll get you ready.
