Biannual Media Arts and Science capstones presentation event scheduled

November 19, 2008

25 Media Arts and Science (MAS) students will present their Capstone Projects in a one-night event demonstrating cutting edge  technologies in New Media. The event will be held on Friday, December 5, 4-8 PM, in the IT (Informatics) Building, at the southwest corner of Michigan and West streets on the IUPUI campus.

Attendees will have opportunities to speak with the MAS students one-on-one about their creative work.  Featured projects include video production, Web site development, 2 and 3-D animation, stereo-optics, digital music, gaming and more.  This year's Capstones presentations evening comes on the heels of last spring's inaugural event.

The Capstone is the culmination of a MAS student’s academic experience, and the opportunity to demonstrate competence in various aspects of digital storytelling. All projects are the result of many hours of hard work in the computer animation labs; at on-location video shoots; or grasping the intricacies of designing a Web interface for a database.

Students, faculty, staff, employers, families, and the general public are invited to attend the free event.
