Introduction
Lois Ann Scheidt was a Future Faculty Teaching Fellow for the academic year 2005-2006 teaching I101 Introduction to Informatics. She is currently an adjunct lecturer for the Columbus campus for fall of 2006 and the IUPUI campus for spring of 2007.
Biography
Lois Ann Scheidt is a doctoral student specializing in Computer-Mediated Communication at the School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) at Indiana University, Bloomington IN. At SLIS, she is a member of the BROG project: Blog Research on Genre. Her interest in human subjects issues lead to her appointment as the Student Representative to the Bloomington Campus Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects (2003–2007).
Research Interests
- Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC) particularly adolescent use of CMC technologies.
- Human-Computer Interaction.
- Human Subjects Committees/Institutional Review Board policies as they relate to Internet research.
