Biography

Chris Newlon is a lecturer and research associate in the School of Informatics. She teaches the I210-211 Information Infrastructure series. In her current position, Chris is involved with conducting research and software development activities for the School of Informatics, specifically in the area of client-server applications and database design for intelligent systems.

Chris was employed by the State of Indiana for over 20 years working on a number of IT projects, with the overall goal of streamlining the functioning of the state as an enterprise, rather than as a group of uncoordinated units.

Research Interests

Chris’s current research involves development of data mining tools, development of human-computer interfaces, and development of internet-based collaboration tools.
