Biography

Jason Sisk has been using computers and emerging media from a young age. Though not quite a digital native, he spent many years studying and participating in the net prior to and during its mass adoption in the late 1990's and early 2000's.

His 20-plus years of experience in assorted communications technologies primarily center around web applications, networks, and new forms of mass media. At IU, he supported and led various IT efforts, including a key role in the initial infrastructure development for the School of Medicine's Simon Cancer Center and webmaster for the School of Informatics at IUPUI.

In 2008, Sisk left IU to take a full-time position at Bluefish Wireless. He continues to teach I210 and I211 at IUPUI.

Sisk was born and raised in Indianapolis, attended Franklin Township schools, and holds two degrees from IUPUI (B.A. in Journalism and M.S. in Media Arts & Science). Since 2005, he has also served on the Board of Directors of the Franklin Township Civic League.

In his free time, he likes to spend time with family and friends, play the guitar, and geek out on video games.
