Introduction

Susan Tennant is an Associate Clinical Professor in New Media. Susan's teaching schedule currently encompasses the guidance and evaluation of students enrolled in internships, projects and the required capstone course.

Susan Tennant's awards include:

  • 2002 SPROP Interdisciplinary grant, Indiana University
  • 2001 IMLS Institute of Museum and library services, awarded for the CLIOH Project
  • 2000 Silicon Graphics Inc Award for excellence in Computational Sciences and Visualization at Indiana University
  • 2000 Grant Recipient of Indiana University High Performance Network Applications Program Internet 2
  • “SIVE", a scalable immersive 3D environment designed for the desktop and Internet2
  • 1999 Grant Recipient of Indiana University High Performance Network Applications Program (HPNAP) Internet2 for "Chichen Itza, A Virtual Tour"

Tennant is on the 2002 Board of Directors of the Virtual Heritage Network as well as the Board of the Eiteljorg Museum. She is a past Master Fellow recipient of the National Endowment of the Arts; a three-time recipient of the Indiana Arts Commission Distinguished Master Fellowship; and in 2002 received an IU SPROP interdisciplinary grant.

Tennant has also been active in service to the University and community with activities such as:
