Biography
Mark Swearingen is an attorney at Hall, Render, Killian Heath & Lyman in Indianapolis, the 4th largest healthcare law firm in the United States. Swearingen coordinates the firm's HIPAA practice and counsels clients on a variety of health care topics including regulatory compliance, joint ventures and collaborations, reimbursement, antitrust, medical staff relations, and clinical and patient care issues. Swearingen has spoken and written nationally and regionally on numerous topics, such as electronic medical records, health information privacy and confidentiality, and antitrust. Prior to joining Hall Render, Swearingen practiced health care law for more than six years at a large law firm in St. Louis, Missouri.
