Equipment Policies
Multimedia equipment is available for Informatics faculty, staff, and students who are taking classes from the School of Informatics in the current semester. Equipment is available on a first-come-first-served basis; all requests will be taken in the order received. Equipment check-out is open Mondays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.and on Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Special hours for holidays and school breaks will be posted outside the door of IT 259.
All requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Equipment reservations will be cancelled if not picked up by 6:00 p.m. on the assigned day.
Thursday and Friday pick-ups must be returned by the following Monday between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday pick-ups must be returned by the following Thursday between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Equipment is considered late if not returned by 3:00 p.m. on the due date.
Students returning equipment late will be granted a free pass on the first occurrence. Any student returning equipment late a second time will be prohibited from checking out equipment for the rest of the semester.
Equipment must be returned to IT 259 during equipment check-out hours. If no one is present, contact Geoff Coryell as soon as possible. Failure to do so will result in a late return.
It is the responsibility of the person checking out the equipment to verify that all parts listed on the check-out form are present. It is the responsibility of the person checking out the equipment to ensure that all parts are returned in working order.
All requests are invalid without a confirmation from the School of Informatics technology staff. You will be asked to show a valid form of ID (JagTag, Driver's License, or State ID).
